Magnifying a Mimic (Zooming)

You can use the Zoom tools to magnify a Mimic. This is useful for viewing details in close up and for revealing layers.

Some Mimics have layers that are only visible at certain levels of magnification. Typically, the more magnification that is applied to a Mimic with layers, the more details are revealed (as layers containing more details are made visible).

There are several magnification tools available, for more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic. Select the relevant entry to display the topic that you require.

If you have a mouse that has a wheel, you can use the wheel to change the level of magnification. Roll the wheel forward to zoom in and roll it backwards to zoom out.

The various magnification tools only have the described effect if the Mimic is configured to allow magnification. Mimics can have their Zooming features enabled and disabled via the Mimic Properties window (see Define the Magnification Settings for a Mimic).
