Control VQT
Associated with: OPC UA Points on which controls are enabled
Security permission required to access this pick action: Control
You can use either the 'standard' Control pick action, or the driver-specific Control VQT pick action to write OPC UA point data to the current OPC UA server.
The Control VQT pick action differs from the Control pick action in that it enables you to write additional properties (the Quality and/or Timestamp) to the OPC UA server.
Select the Control VQT pick action to display the Control VQT window.
For each point type you can include one or more of the following:
- Value—Enter the value that you want to write to the item. The type of value varies according to the type of point. An analog point is illustrated above, for which the acceptable value range is indicated in parentheses alongside the field.
- Quality—Specify the ‘Quality’ or reliability of the item’s data. Select the required entry from the combo box.
- Timestamp—Select the timestamp to write to the item. The time and date at which the Control VQT window was opened is shown by default, however you can specify a different timestamp if required.
To write a Value, Quality and/or Timestamp to the item, select the corresponding check box. Clear a check box to exclude that corresponding entry.
Select the OK button to write the selected data to the item on the OPC UA server.
Not all OPC UA servers support every combination of Value, Quality and Timestamp.
NOTE: If using this pick action with the Automation Interface, you have to specify the method name ControlVQT.
