AGA-7 and AGA-9 Factor Properties
The fields within this section of the Flow Calculation tab display factors properties that are associated with the pulse calculation parameters. The Factors section is only available when the Type of flow calculation is set to AGA-7 or AGA-9.
You can configure these properties directly in Geo SCADA Expert, or read the configuration into the Geo SCADA Expert database (see Configure or Read the Flow Run Configuration).
- K Factor—Enter the factor that is used to convert pulse count to volume of the turbine meter. Valid values are 0.001 to 1000000. The default value is 100.
- M Factor—Enter the factor that is the adjustment to the number of pulses per unit volume for the turbine meter compared to an ideal meter. Valid values are 0.001 to 1000. The default value is 1.
- Uncorrected Flow Volume—Supported by Realflo version 6.21 onwards. This property defines the type of calculation that is performed for the uncorrected flow volume for the flow run. It has no effect on corrected flow totals. Specify whether to:
- Include M Factor—This is the default option and the option that has to be specified for Measurement Canada approved installations.
- Exclude M Factor—To exclude the M Factor from the calculation.
- K/M Configuration Events—Supported by Realflo version 7.10.2 onwards. This field is unavailable for use if the Flow Run is located on a Realflo controller on which the Firmware Type is set to x70 (see Specify the Firmware Type).
If the Flow Run is located on a SCADAPack 32, SCADAPack 3xx, SCADAPack 4203 DS, or SCADAPack 4203 DR controller, use the property to specify whether configuration changes that are made to the K Factor and M Factor parameters are logged as events. The options are:
Log Changes—K Factor and M Factor configuration changes are logged for this flow run. (This is the behavior that applies to flow runs on any controller that is running a version of Realflo older than 7.10.2.)
Ignore—The flow computer does not log configuration changes that are made to the K Factor and M Factor parameters. Additionally, changes to the K Factor or M Factor do not impact the hourly history. This is the default option for Realflo version 7.10.2 onwards on applicable controllers.
