Associate a Firmware Image Item with a Device Configuration Item
You can Use Geo SCADA Expert to Import and Download Firmware Image Files. To enable this, a Firmware Image item has to exist in the database for each version of operating system firmware that Geo SCADA Expert is to update.
Use the field within the Firmware section of the Settings tab to specify the Firmware Image database item that Geo SCADA Expert is to use to store updated firmware for this particular SCADAPack x70 device.
Use the browse button to display a Reference browse window and then select the required entry from the window. If required, you can associate the same Firmware Image item with multiple SCADAPack x70 devices. This is useful for devices that run compatible version(s) of operating firmware, and provide similar levels of operational functionality.
To check which operating system firmware is currently associated with a particular Firmware Image database item, view that item's Status display (see Status Attributes that are Specific to Firmware Image Items).
In addition to the above field, also configure the Firmware Download field within the Download Confirm section on the SCADAPack x70 protocol-specific Outstation item that is associated with this SCADAPack x70 Device Configuration item (see Configure the SCADAPack x70 Outstation Tab).
