Create Another Analog Configuration Item
Add another SCADAPack x70 Analog Configuration item to the database. This item will contain the configuration that you can download to the SCADAPack 575 for the analog output point that you will create for this tutorial.
When you create the item, you can leave most of the configuration fields at their default values.
On the SCADAPack x70 tab of the configuration Form, the only fields that you have to change for this tutorial are:
- In Service—Select the check box to enable the SCADAPack x70 Analog Configuration item.
- Device Configuration—Specify the SCADAPack x70 57x Device Configuration item that you created earlier in this tutorial.
- Name—Set this to PIO_SP575_AO1.
On the DNP3 tab, the only fields you have to change are:
- Enabled—Ensure that this check box is selected, so that it displays a check mark. Other fields become available for use on the tab.
- DNP3 Point Number—Set this to 1.
Notice that both Analog Configuration items in this tutorial are assigned a DNP3 Point Number of 1. This is acceptable as each Analog Configuration item is being associated with a different type of point (one with an Analog Input point, the other with an Analog Output point). If the Analog Configuration items were to be associated with the same type of point, you would have to assign a different DNP3 Point Number to each Analog Configuration item.
- DNP3 Static Group and Variation—Set this to Short Floating Point Analog Output Status (g40v3).
- Controlling Station 1 Point Data Class—Set this to Class 1 Event.
Once you have configured this second Analog Configuration item, you can proceed to Create an I/O Module.
