The ThisObject, RootObject, and FindObject functions and properties return
a Geo SCADA Expert specific script object called a ServerObject. The ServerObject has its own functions that you can use in your script.

ServerObject functions require information from the database (and so a connection to the server is required). The connection is made via the XML server using HTTPS Port 443 (by default) so that the functions work in scripts running on both ViewX and Virtual ViewX clients. The Port address can be changed via the Server Configuration Tool (see WebX Server Settings (Original WebX) in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Server Administration).
