The WITS standard requires the following syntax to be used for bulk configuration filenames:
<name>_<version>.<extension>
The same syntax is also used for application program files.
The WITS standard does not specify a syntax for incremental configuration filenames. We recommend that you allocate the same name to the bulk configuration file and the matching incremental configuration file, and use different extensions for each.
