You can use the 'Zoom' feature to magnify part of the X-Y-Z Plot. This is useful if you want to view a particular set of historic values that are not clearly visible when the Plot is viewed at its full size.
To zoom in or out on an X-Y-Z Plot, perform one of the following:
- If your mouse has a wheel, place the cursor over a part of the x-axis that does not contain a trace.
The cursor changes to a 'hand' shape. - Use the mouse wheel to:
- Increase the magnification (by rolling the mouse wheel forwards until the required level of magnification is reached).
- Decrease the magnification (by rolling the mouse wheel backwards).
Or:
- Right-click on a part of the x-axis that does not contain a trace.
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Select the Zoom option.
A further context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Either:
- Select the Zoom In option to increase the level of magnification by 5%. You can zoom in until the displayed part of the x-axis is just 1% of the x-axis range. For example, with an x-axis that has a range of 0 to 1000, you can continue to zoom in until the displayed part of the x-axis shows a span of 10 (as 10 is 1% of the configured range).
- Select the Zoom Out option to decrease the level of magnification by 5% (providing that the X-Y-Z Plot is not currently displayed at its full size).
- Repeat step 3 to increase or decrease the magnification level further, as required.
