The WITS-DNP3 standard does not cover string points. However, you can use DNP3 String Points with WITS Field Devices, if they are supported by the Field Device.
DNP3 String Points allow text strings to be passed between a DNP3 outstation and ClearSCADA.
You can configure the properties of each DNP3 string point using the fields on the DNP3 String Point Form.
