Document Scope
The ClearSCADA Guide to the Database provides information about the structure of the ClearSCADA database. It also explains how to use the ClearSCADA Database Schema to locate specific information about the database tables.You may need to access this information when:
- Creating Mimics (for animations, pick action menus, embedded Lists, and so on)
- Creating Trends (trace source)
- Creating Reports
- Creating Logic programs (function block diagrams, structured text programs, and so on)
- Customizing the Alarm Banner (adding extra columns, and so on)
- Adding or modifying extra fields in the database
- Using external applications to access the database (via ODBC, OPC, SOAP, or Automation).

This guide is designed to help users understand the structure of the ClearSCADA database. The information it contains may be useful to engineers who are responsible for configuring:
