Preparation
You need to add an EcoStruxure Web Services server for each server on your system with which you want ClearSCADA to communicate using the EcoStruxure Web Services protocol.
To configure an EcoStruxure Web Services server, you need to know the location of the node on which the EWS data is located. You also need to know the read mechanism that is supported by the server, along with the user name(s) and password(s) that allow the required access to the data on that server.
You also need to establish which features are required for each EcoStruxure Web Services server. You can configure each server to use a variety of features, including alarm redirection. However, many of these features are optional and have no effect on communications. The optional features include:
- Alarm view
- Alarm Redirection
- User methods.
If the features listed above are not configured, they are not used for the selected server (they will be left blank).
