SCADAPack x70

Configure a Firmware Image Item

If you want to download operating system firmware files to SCADAPack x70 devices from ClearSCADA, you first need to import those files into the ClearSCADA database. To do this, you need to create and configure a SCADAPack x70 Firmware Image database item for each separate version of operating system firmware that is to be downloaded. (Therefore, if the SCADAPack x70 devices on your system run two separate versions of firmware, you need to configure two SCADAPack x70 Firmware Image items in order to download those two versions.)

The configuration Form for each SCADAPack x70 Firmware Image item only contains tabs with properties that are common to many database items. For information on configuring the properties on these tabs, see Tabs on the Forms of Configuration Items.

Use the SCADAPack x70 Firmware Image item’s Import Firmware Image pick action to import the required binary firmware image file into ClearSCADA.

To ascertain the latest firmware image file that has been imported using a particular SCADAPack x70 Firmware Image item, view that item’s Status display (see Status Displays in the ClearSCADA Guide to ViewX and WebX Clients, and see Status Attributes that are Specific to Firmware Image Items).

You need to associate the Firmware Image item with the SCADAPack x70 Device Configuration item(s) for which it is to be used to download firmware image files (see Associate a Firmware Image Item with a Device Configuration Item).
