Establish Communications with Failed Outstations

The Reestablishment Interval field is displayed at the bottom of the Scan Parameters section on the Channel Form. Use the field to define how often the ClearSCADA server attempts to establish communications with an outstation that is deemed to have failed. For further information, and an example of how the Reestablishment Interval is used, see Establishment Phase.

For most systems the default setting of 30 seconds is suitable.

You may need to increase the Reestablishment Interval if the ClearSCADA server is allocating too much of its scan time to establishment attempts, leaving insufficient time to scan those outstations that are communicating.
