The order in which alarms are displayed on Alarms Lists and the Alarm Banner is determined by the alarm Sort Order. On many ClearSCADA systems, the default Sort Order is State, Severity, Time.
If required, you can temporarily sort an Alarms List on a ViewX or WebX client, or the Alarm Banner on a ViewX client, to display the information in a different order from this default (see Sort a List in the ClearSCADA Guide to Lists). (You can only sort the order of entries in the Alarm Banner if the Banner is configured to Allow Sorting (see Specify the Preferred Alarm Banner and Alarms List Options on a ViewX Client).)
To revert the sort order on an Alarms List or the Alarm Banner (the latter only applies to ViewX clients):
- Right-click on the List or Banner.
A context-sensitive menu is displayed. - Select the Default Sorting option.
The Sort order is reset to its original state—any additional sorting is removed and the default sorting reinstated.
The sort order on either alarm display automatically reverts to the default should that List or Banner be closed and then re-displayed.
