Client Logging
ClearSCADA includes client-side logging features that provide diagnostic data for client activity. The information included in the log files can be useful when investigating connection problems, issues with initialization, and so on.
These types of log files are available for clients:
- DB Client log files—Contain low-level information about the connections between a client (other than ViewX) and the server.
- ViewX log files—Contain information about user activity in ViewX on the client, and low-level information about the connection between ViewX and the server.
- ODBC log files—Contain information about the ODBC requests made by third-party applications.
- OLE DB log files—Contain information about the OLE DB requests made by third-party clients.
In addition, should an exception occur on a ViewX client, exception minidump files are created (see ViewX Exception Files).
