Working with Single and Multiple Databases

A ViewX client can be configured to access a single ClearSCADA database or multiple ClearSCADA databases. Each ClearSCADA database is independent and runs as a ClearSCADA system on a ClearSCADA server (or on multiple ClearSCADA servers if used in a multi-server redundant architecture). This means you can use a single ViewX client to:

• Display information from one or more ClearSCADA databases
• Configure items in one or more ClearSCADA databases
• Issue controls to items in one or more ClearSCADA databases.
