Using Parameters to Store Static Data Values

ClearSCADA supports a series of Parameters that can be used to store static data values, such as a postal address, or map grid reference. Consider using Parameters if the data that you want ClearSCADA to store is:

Unlike Variables or Internal Points, users need the Configure permission, rather than the Control permission, to change a Parameter’s value. This provides additional security to help ensure that data that is intended to remain static is only changed by users with that permission.
