NOTICE

LOSS OF COMMUNICATION

Use the Reset Outstation pick action with care. The affects of resetting an outstation vary, depending on the type of outstation. Many outstations support a Cold Reset, which is equivalent to power cycling the outstation. This typically results in any output points being reset to initial values, and any programs running in the outstation being restarted. The outstation will also be offline for a time.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Use the Reset Outstation pick action to reset an outstation. The type of reset that is performed depends on the protocol—refer to the outstation’s product documentation for information. With outstations that support more than one type of reset, a window is displayed, offering a set of reset options. The driver-specific documentation explains any such options where they exist.

If using this pick action with the Automation Interface, you need to specify the method name Reset.
