With most ClearSCADA drivers, ClearSCADA is the SCADA Master. With such a setup, the ClearSCADA server retrieves the data from its outstations, PLCs and other devices using the appropriate protocol.
For each protocol that ClearSCADA is to use to retrieve data and/or control plant, you need to install the appropriate ClearSCADA driver on your system. You can run any number of ClearSCADA drivers on your system, however for optimum performance, we advise that you only install those drivers that you require.
