The Interest category provides status information about each database interest reference that is currently made between the server and the client(s). A database interest reference is made each time the server sends data to a client.
Each entry in the Interest category represents one interest reference i.e. one set of data that has been sent from the server to the client(s).
The status information is categorized as:
- Id—The number that ClearSCADA uses to identify the database interest reference.
- Type—The type of information that is being requested by the client. This can be Config for configuration data or Data for database values, such as 'live' values that are shown on a Mimic or Queries List.
- Description—A description of the type of database interest reference, for example, SQL Query for a reference relating to a List, SCADAPackModbus for a reference relating to the SCADAPackModbus driver etc.
- Update Count—The number of updates to the display to which the reference relates. For example, the number of times a Mimic has updated since being displayed.
- A rapidly increasing number of updates indicates that the system is very busy, which in turn may indicate a high server load (see Diagnose Client Performance Problems).
- Details—Information about the source of the data. This is either a reference to the database class that contains the configuration information or is one or more numbers—the numbers are only shown when the Type is Data and they indicate the Id numbers of the items for which data is being requested.
