Configuring Trends

The topics in this section describe how to create and edit Pre-Configured Trends via a series of windows in ViewX. (For information on configuring ‘custom’ Ad Hoc Trends, see Using TrendSpec to Produce Ad Hoc Trends.)

When you create a Trend, its appearance will be determined by the default appearance for new Trends. You can set these defaults, such as fonts and colors, for your ClearSCADA system.

You can customize a Trend’s appearance, for example the scaling of axes and the foreground and background colors. You can also add data traces and a secondary Y-Axis, and determine which columns display on the Trend key.

The topics in this section provide information about the configuration tasks that are mentioned above. For more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic. Select the relevant entry to display the topic that you require.

If you access a Trend in an Operator Document Store, you will have access to the configuration features of the Trend. This is true even if your User Account does not have the Configure Database feature enabled.
