The DDE driver supports Digital Input points and Digital Output points.
The points are used to map ‘point’ data on DDE servers into Geo SCADA Expert in a format that it can understand, and vice versa.
Configure the properties of each digital point using the fields on the DDE Digital Point Form.
This section covers configuration of digital-specific properties on the DDE tab of the Form.
Use the fields on the DDE tab to:
- Configure Common Properties on the DDE Tab
- Use Persistence to Stop Fleeting Changes in Value from Changing the Point State.

If the point is an output point, you also need to enable and configure the properties on the Control tab—for information, see Define the Control Settings for a Digital Output Point in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration. You can also optionally use the Control Checks tab to configure the Control Checks settings (see Configuring Control Checks Settings in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration).
