The EtherNet/IP driver is designed to support the following ranges of Allen-Bradley hardware:
- Micro800
- CompactLogix
- ControlLogix
This section provides a guided tour designed to lead you through using EtherNet/IP to connect one of the above controllers to Geo SCADA Expert, then communicating with that controller using EtherNet/IP.
To perform the procedure, you need:
- A server and a client on which Geo SCADA Expert is installed.
- A controller from one of the above supported ranges.
- An Ethernet cable and a router to establish an Ethernet/IP connection between Geo SCADA Expert and the controller.
- Access to the appropriate third-party software in order to configure the required settings in the controller.
- A suitable analog tag to exist in the controller. Make a note of the tag name, as you will need to specify this tag name in Geo SCADA Expert.
