A remote message from a third party tool can open a connection to an outstation, if the outstation is configured as On Demand (see Specify Whether the Direct Communications Connection is Always Online or only Available on Demand).
The Open Connections to On Demand Outstations check box allows you to specify whether this capability is enabled for applications attempting to send requests to outstations via a remote connection.
Select this check box to allow a connection to be opened when a messages is received for an On Demand outstation via a remote connection.
Clear this check box you require an open connection to already be established for remote messages to be delivered to an On Demand outstation. If this option is not selected, and a remote message is received for an On Demand outstation that does not have an open connection, then Geo SCADA Expert will send an error response back to the remote client.
