Group State
Associated with: Advanced OPC Groups
The following are the states associated with the State attribute for Advanced OPC Groups:
- Disconnected—The group is inactive. This might be for any of a number of reasons, such as:
- The configuration of the group and/or its associated server's are invalid (see Checking for Invalid Configuration).
- The group and/or its associated server's are out of service. (The item that is not In Service will typically display an ‘Out of Service’ Quality.)
- Starting—The group is currently being added to one or more of the servers. Only once the group has been added to all of the servers will the group change to one of the healthy or failed states.
- Healthy—The group is able to communicate successfully with the server. This state only appears within a single server group.
- Failed—Geo SCADA Expert has either, not been successful in connecting to the group's server or the group was not successfully added to the server. To ascertain further information about the reason for this state, look at the connection state of the server to determine if the server is the cause of the problem, or use the Display Alarms pick action to display the group’s Alarms List. This state only appears within a single server group.
- All Healthy—The group has been added to all the servers. This state only appears within a multi-server group.
- All Failed—Geo SCADA Expert has either, not been successful in connecting to the group's server, or the group was not successfully added to the server. To ascertain further information about the reason for this state, look at the connection state of the server to determine if the server is the cause of the problem, or use the Display Alarms pick action to display the group’s Alarms List. This state only appears within a multi-server group.
- 'n' Healthy—The group has been successfully added to 'n' servers. The group is inactive in the remaining servers. This state only appears within a multi-server group.
- 'n' Failed—For 'n' servers, Geo SCADA Experthas either, not been successful in connecting to the group's server or the group was not successfully added to the server. The group is inactive in the remaining servers. To ascertain further information about the reason for this state, look at the connection state of the server to determine if the server is the cause of the problem, or use the Display Alarms pick action to display the group’s Alarms List. This state only appears within a multi-server group.
- 'x' Healthy, 'y' Failed—The group has been successfully added to 'x' servers. For 'y' servers, Geo SCADA Experthas either, not been successful in connecting to the group's server or the group was not successfully added to the server. The group is inactive in any remaining servers. This state only appears within a multi-server group.
