Configuring String Points
D Series radios provide support for interrogation of fewer diagnostics parameters than other supported radio series. To retrieve an item of diagnostics data from a D Series radio, you associate that data with a Trio Diagnostics Analog Point; other types of point are not used to retrieve diagnostics data from D Series radios.
Geo SCADA Expert can retrieve various forms of diagnostic data from a Trio radio. For each item of diagnostics data that takes the form of a text string, you need to configure an Advanced Trio Diagnostics String Point in the Geo SCADA Expert Database.
Configure the point’s properties using the fields on the Advanced Trio Diagnostics String Point Form.
The configuration Form contains many fields, organized into tabs. Most of these tabs contain properties that are common to points on many drivers (see Tabs on Point Forms in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Advanced Drivers).
