SID

Many of the series of Trio radios with which Geo SCADA Expert can communicate provide SID support.

The Stream Identifier code (also known as the Stream ID or SID code) provides the addressing mechanism for data stream routing on radio networks that use multiple message streams. The SID code identifies the message stream that is used by a particular Trio radio on such a radio network.

Geo SCADA Expert provides these configuration properties related to SID support:

• The Send SID Code check box on the Trio Radio Set Form. (You select the check box if the local diagnostics port is configured for trunk stream operation.)
• The SID Code field on the Trio Radio Form. (You use the field to specify the radio's Units Embedded SID Code address, in the range 0 to 255 inclusive.)
