Change Priority Action

A Change Priority Action alters the severity level of the alarm. This type of redirection is useful when operators have not acknowledged an alarm within a suitable period of time. The redirection can be used to raise the severity of the alarm and bring it to the operators’ attention.

You can also optionally use a Change Priority Action to re-evaluate every one of an alarm’s automatic redirections, canceling those that do not pass the new (changed severity) redirection criteria, and triggering those that do pass the new redirection criteria.

You need to configure a separate Change Priority Action for each change in severity level that you require.

For further information, see Configure a Redirection Action, and see Define the Change Priority Action Details.
