You can configure Geo SCADA Expert to trigger a Windows® system command automatically, or on request. You might, for instance, use a System Command to automatically copy specific data to a third-party application, for use independent of Geo SCADA Expert.
Any application that is triggered by such a command should require no additional user intervention and should run for only the briefest amount of time. (While a system command-triggered application is running, any other system commands are placed on hold until that application closes.)
Geo SCADA Expert can trigger a system command under various circumstances—you need to Decide When Geo SCADA Expert is to Execute a System Command, in order to determine the type of configuration that you need to undertake.
In addition to the above, Geo SCADA Expert is supplied with a built-in command line tool, to enable third-party applications to run Geo SCADA Expert commands from the Windows® command prompt. For more information, see Server Command Line Tool in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Server Administration.
