You specify each DDE component as an alphanumeric text string on the appropriate configuration Form. Each string can comprise any combination of standard alphanumeric characters, up to 255 characters long.
You need to specify each string in a format that the DDE server can interpret. Refer to the documentation provided with the DDE provider for details.
