Geo SCADA Expert is able to set a Direct or Shared outstation’s internal clock on a regular basis, or by request. Use the Set Outstation Clock section on the Direct Channel Form to Configure the Set Outstation Clock Properties.
The DNP3 protocol allows an outstation to indicate that its internal clock is not up to date, as a means of requesting that the DNP3 master (Geo SCADA Expert) to set the clock. Use the Set the Clock section on the Outstation Form to Define Whether Geo SCADA Expert Updates the Outstation Clock. This latter function applies to PSTN outstations as well as Direct and Shared outstations.
