SSL Certificate Database Items

You use SSL Certificate database items to store certificate details in the database so that Geo SCADA Expert can use those certificates for secure communications (see SSL Certificates for Driver Communications).

To create an SSL Certificate item in the database, you select the required type of database item from the Security branch of the Create New menu (see Add an Item to the Database).

The configuration Forms of SSL Certificate database items merely comprise tabs of properties that are common to many types of database item:

• Identification—Use to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details).
• Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)
• User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions).
