Source
Associated with: various IEC 60870-5 items
The Source attribute is common to many Status displays. The attribute indicates the location at which the item resides. The information shown varies, depending on the item.
The Source attribute displays the value Undefined if the item’s configuration is incomplete, in so far as the device with which the item is associated has not yet been specified.
For IEC 60870-5 outstations, information is displayed in this format:
Link <Link Address>:Common <Common Address>
Example:
Link 26:Common 14
(For an outstation that has a Link Address of 26 and a Common Address of 14.)
For IEC 6087-5 points, information is displayed in this format:
Link <Link Address>:Common <Common Address>:<Point Type> IOA <Information Object Address>
Example:
Link 22:Common 11:AI IOA 3
(For an Analog Input point that has an Information Object Address (IOA) of 3. The point is on an outstation that has a Link Address of 22 and a Common Address of 11.)
For Digital points, the information is appended by the number of bits.
Example:
Link 22:Common 11:DI IOA 1 Bits 2
(For a Digital Input point that has an Information Object Address of 1. The point comprises 2 bits. Outstation details are as per the example above.)
The Source Attribute displays the type of IEC 60870-5 point using these abbreviations:
Abbreviation | Type of Point |
---|---|
AI |
Analog Input Point |
AO |
Analog Output Point |
DO |
Digital Output Point |
