Throughout this guide, the term ‘outstation’ is used to refer to any Phoenix outstation, controller, or other Phoenix device that is used to obtain data from measuring instruments or sensors.
Throughout the Geo SCADA Expert documentation suite ‘information objects’—the objects that can be monitored or controlled on an outstation—are referred to as ‘points’.
