The IEC 60870-5-104 protocol can be used to provide TCP/IP communication between a Controlling Station (SCADA master) and Controlled Station(s) (outstations or slaves, including Geo SCADA Expert). Stations that are IEC 60870-5-104 compliant have an Internet Transport Interface between the Application and lower layers.
In order for Geo SCADA Expert to communicate using the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol, specify these settings on the Connection tab of the IEC 60870-5 Direct Channel Form:
- Connection Type: Network
- TCP/IP Type: TCP
- Listen Port: 2404 (to comply with the IEC 60870-5-104 standard, although the driver allows other ports to be used if necessary).
