Set up Historic List Preferences
This section is for system administrators and high-level engineers who are setting up the preferences for Historic Lists on either a system-wide, or client-specific basis (see Set up the List Preferences).
Geo SCADA Expert is supplied with a set of predefined defaults for Lists. These affect, for example, the List header colors. If required, these options can be changed from the defaults. Some of these options affect Lists on a system-wide basis, whereas other options can be specified on a per-client (workstation) basis.
For more information, see the topics that are listed in the gray footer section at the bottom of this topic. Select the relevant entry to display the topic that you require.
Remember that Geo SCADA Expert will only store point or accumulator data historically if the Historic feature is enabled on that point’s or accumulator’s configuration Form. For information on configuring Historic storage for a point, see Defining Historic Details for a Point in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration. For information on configuration Historic storage for an accumulator, see Tabs on Accumulator Forms in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration.
In addition to the above, be aware that you can configure Historic Regions to stop historic data that has been logged within a specific time period from being deleted from the system. Such data is retained online and can be displayed on Historic Lists. You configure Historic Regions using the Geo SCADA Expert Server Configuration Tool (see Historic Regions in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Server Administration).
