Associated with: Lufkin SAMS controllers and Lufkin SAMS points
The Source attribute is common to many Status displays. The attribute indicates the location at which the item resides. The information shown varies, depending on the item.
The Source attribute displays the value Undefined if the item’s configuration is incomplete, in so far as the device with which the item is associated has not yet been specified.
For Lufkin SAMS controllers, the attribute displays information in this format:
Set <Set Address>:OS <Controller Address>
Example:
Set 2:OS 5
(For a controller with an address of 5, in the set that has an address of 2.)
For Lufkin SAMS points, the attribute displays information in this format:
Set <Set Address>:OS <Controller Address>:<Point Type> Type <Value Type Number> Index <Value Index>
where the <Point Type> is either AI (for analog input), or DI (for digital input).
Example:
Set 2:OS 5:AI Type 4 Index 1
(For a Lufkin SAMS Analog Input point that is configured to store a rod pump’s Percent Runtime History. The type of data that the point is configured to process is indicated by ‘Type 4’. The index to that data in the controller’s Modbus registers is 1. The point is associated with the controller that has an address of 5, which is in the set that has an address of 2.)
The table below indicates the type of value that each Type number represents. The entries apply to Lufkin SAMS analog points unless specified otherwise.
