Comms Statistics
Associated with: Scanners on the Simple Modbus driver
This status attribute shows the number and type of errors that have been detected on a scanner since that scanner was last restarted:
- Reads—Successful read operations
- Writes—Successful write operations
- Timeouts—Requests that did not receive a response within the expected time and therefore timed out. (The actual Timeout period is specified on the Channel Form.)
- Exceptions—Exception errors returned by the remote device. Exceptions can be returned for various reasons. When an exception is received by the Geo SCADA Expert Simple Modbus driver, Geo SCADA Expert sets the scanner to ‘Failed’. The alarm that is raised indicates the reason for the failure (see Modbus Exception Errors).
- CRCs—Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) errors
- Unknown—Any other errors.
Example:
45 reads, 23 writes, 0 timeouts, 2 exceptions, 0 CRCs, 0 unknown
