Minimum Configuration

As a minimum, for a Simple Modbus scanner to become functional (online), you need to:

• Specify the channel through which the scanner communicates
• If the Primary or Secondary ports are used for network communications, you have to specify the Host Address.

You also need to put the scanner In Service, and save the configuration.

This will result in a functional scanner that uses the default configuration settings.
