For an ODBC Connection to become functional (online), you need to:
- Specify the Data Source Name (DSN) for the server from which Geo SCADA Expert is to retrieve data
- If access to the DSN is password protected, specify a suitable user name and password to enable a connection.
You also need to put the connection In Service and save the configuration.
These are the minimum requirements and, when defined, will result in a functional connection that uses the default configuration settings.
ATTENTION: An ODBC connection can be affected by factors other than the configuration parameters within ViewX, which can cause the database to lock and stop data from being recorded
