Before you add any SCADAPack Modbus items to Geo SCADA Expert, you need to make sure that the relevant components are installed on the Geo SCADA Expert servers on your system.
Use the Add/Remove Programs function in the Windows® Control Panel to check whether the required components are installed.
In order for Geo SCADA Expert to communicate with any SCADAPack devices, the SCADAPack Modbus component has to be installed on each of the servers on your system (including any permanent standby servers).
The SCADAPack Modbus component is located in the Server group, in a branch off from its Advanced Modbus ‘parent’ driver component. To check that this component has been installed, ensure that the symbol to the left of the text SCADAPackModbus does not have an X on it.
If Geo SCADA Expert uses a SCADAPack Modbus Extension Driver to support additional features on some devices, also ensure that the relevant extension driver component is installed.
