Minimum Configuration

As a minimum, for a SCADAPack controller to become functional (online), you have to configure these features on the SCADAPack Outstation Form, then put the controller In Service and save the configuration:

• The Set to which the controller belongs (Outstation tab)
• The Addressing Mode (SCADAPack tab)
• The controller’s Address (SCADAPack tab)
• The Firmware Type (SCADAPack tab)
• The Point Address Range (SCADAPack tab)
• The DLOG properties (if required) (SCADAPack tab)
• The telephone number of the site on which a PSTN controller is located (PSTN tab)
• The Network properties for a network connected controller (Network tab)
• The Shared properties for a shared controller (Shared tab).

This will result in a functional SCADAPack controller that uses the default configuration settings.
