Tabs on the Forms of Configuration Items

The Forms of SCADAPack x70 Configuration items (as opposed to protocol-specific items) contain a combination of common and item-specific tabs. (SCADAPack x70 Configuration items include SCADAPack x70 Device, Analog, Digital, and Counter Configuration items, I/O Modules, and so on - see Understand the SCADAPack x70 Driver.)

The common tabs contain properties that are common to many types of database item. For information about the properties on these tabs, see the following sections:

• Identification—Use to optionally define a Help View and to indicate whether the item is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details).

• Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)

• User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for the item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions).
