Tabs on Configuration Forms
Configuration Forms, such as the SNMP Cardinal Point Form, have several tabs for configuring different aspects of the item’s configuration.
For each SNMP item that you configure, the configuration Form has a combination of these tabs:
- Identification—Use to define a Help View and to indicate whether the point is to be excluded from any Exclusive Control activity (see Defining Identification Details in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
-
Location—Use to specify the item's geographical coordinates. (You need only configure the properties on this tab if your system uses Geo SCADA Expert's Geographical Location features.)
- User Methods—Use to define any custom pick actions (‘methods’) for an item (see Using the User Methods Tab to Define Custom Actions in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Alarm—Use to define optional features associated with alarms (see Defining an Item or Group’s Alarm Properties in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Configuration).
- Redirection—Use to define any alarm redirections for the item (see Configure Alarm Redirections for an Item or Group in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Alarm Redirection).
- Historic—Use to define historic storage features for SNMP points other than String points (see Defining Historic Details for a Point in the Geo SCADA Expert Guide to Core Point Configuration).
In addition, further tab(s) are displayed in order for you to configure properties that are specific to the type of SNMP point. For information on these tabs, see the relevant configuration sections within this guide.
