You use a Totalflow Trend Point item to ‘trend’ data from a Totalflow computer. The Totalflow computer time stamps the trend data. The Totalflow Driver retrieves the trend data along with the time stamp that was applied in the Totalflow. As such, the driver enters the trend data into the point’s historic record with the timestamp from the Totalflow device.
If communications to the Totalflow fail, and then recover some time later, the driver will attempt to retrieve the data that was generated by the Totalflow during the outage.
