Specify Whether to Include the Stream Identifier in each Data Packet
Trio radios are capable of communicating via one of multiple message streams. Of the Trio radio series with which Geo SCADA Expert can communicate, radios other than D Series can use a Stream Identifier ( SID) code to identify the particular message stream that is being used.
Select the Send SID check box on the Channel tab if the radio port that Geo SCADA Expert uses to communicate with the ‘base’ Trio radio is one of the following:
- The System or Diagnostics/Programming port on an E, K, or M Series radio
- The eDiags (Ethernet) port on a J Series radio with which Geo SCADA Expert communicates using TCP/IP
- A Serial port that is configured as a Trunk port.
With such communications, use the Stream ID field on each Trio Diagnostics Radio Form to specify the actual message stream used by each radio (see Specify the Stream on which the Radio is to Transmit Messages).
Clear the Send SID check box if:
- The ‘base’ radio is a D Series radio
or:
- The radio port that Geo SCADA Expert uses to communicate with the ‘base’ radio is a Serial port that is configured as a User port.
