Multiple Instance Setup

A Multiple Instance setup is where a number of ViewX clients run alongside each other on the same computer. This scenario is typically used to provide simultaneous access to a different Geo SCADA Expert server (and database) per ViewX client.

This scenario is possible if each instance of ViewX is launched using a unique desktop shortcut that points to a particular System.xml file. The System.xml file contains the server configuration settings that are applied to the associated instance of ViewX.

If the client you are using is configured to run as a Multiple Instance setup, your system administrator should provide you with information about the purpose and operation of each instance of ViewX.
