SCADAPack E outstations can optionally sample counter, analog input, binary input, derived analog, and derived binary data for particular trends (see Configuring DNP3 SCADAPack E Trend Sampler Functionality). Point values that fulfill the Trend criteria are stored locally at the outstation.
With a Direct or Shared outstation, you specify the required Trend Retrieval rate on the Outstation Form (see Configure the Trend Retrieval Properties). This defines the frequency with which Geo SCADA Expert retrieves the sampled data from the outstation. With a PSTN outstation, Geo SCADA Expert retrieves any stored sampled data whenever it is in communications with the outstation.
The Retrieve All Trends pick action can also be used to retrieve any sampled data.
