Use the I/O Source field on the Mapping tab to specify the expansion I/O module, card or device on which a point is located.
For a point that is on a remote E or DNP3 outstation, or a Modbus slave device, use the field to specify the name of that outstation or device. In each case, use the browse button to display a Reference browse window and select the relevant entry from the window. The entries in the window are restricted to those I/O database item(s) and remote device(s) that are associated with the Outstation that is specified on the point’s <Point Type> tab.
