Database Objects

After the driver is installed, you can create ROC database objects (‘database items’) in the usual way. To add a ROC-specific database object, right-click on a Group in the Database Bar, select Create New, then ROC Plus, and then the type of object that you want to create.

Each object includes settings and properties that are common to many ClearSCADA objects, like Alarm Redirection, User Methods, Identification, point Alarm Limits, and so on. For information on these common properties, see Configure a New or Existing Point in the ClearSCADA Guide to Core Point Configuration. For information about settings and properties that are ROC-specific, see the topics listed below:

For ClearSCADA to interface with a supported ROC device, as a minimum you need to configure: 1 ROC Plus Channel, 1 ROC Plus Scanner, and 1 ROC Plus Point in your database.

In addition to using ViewX and WebX, you can also view information about each database object in the ClearSCADA Database Schema. The view in the schema shows the properties and methods for the object.

Further Information

Data Tables are generic database objects.
